Earlier this year, Jamie’s opponent, Lori Chavez-DeRemer, voted for an anti-abortion, anti-LGBTQ+, election-denier to be the next Speaker of the House.
While her vote is a disgrace for our district, it’s not a surprise, given Lori’s record of voting to further roll back reproductive rights and slash funding for veterans, housing, and nutrition programs. Oregon deserves better than a politician who pretends to be a moderate before election time but votes to empower extremists like MAGA Mike Johnson.
Now, with an extremist speaker, we know she will continue to follow the party line and empower attacks against working families, our environment, and our fundamental rights. She showed us she’d do just that when she voted with every other House Republican to open a baseless impeachment inquiry into President Biden.
That’s why we need to fire Lori in 2024.
