For all of the peace and serenity that I find paddling the waters of the BWCA, there is also an ever-present awareness that, in an instant, this could all be destroyed.
At this moment mining companies are plotting how they will place a toxic mine on the shoreline of the Boundary Waters. A single decision, one small mistake, would destroy any hope for future generations to experience the Boundary Waters and there will be no going back. We can't risk the crystal clean waters and boreal habitat of the Boundary Waters. We must do everything we can to ensure that this threat to the Boundary Waters never happens.
