It's Governor Kelly, and on the last day of 2023, I wanted to take the opportunity to reflect on the strides that Kansas Democrats across the state have made this year.
We've made an impressive amount of progress in the face of the extremists that dominate the State Legislature.
In 2024, we have the opportunity to break the Supermajorities and see what we can do for the people without the far-right holding us back.
2023 has been a long year, full of battles with the extremistSupermajorities to pass common-sense legislation that puts Kansans first, but Kansas Democrats up and down the ballot have been able to overcome that and:
🏆 Expand high-speed internet access 🏆 Fully fund K-12 education 🏆 Increase access to affordable child care 🏆 Repair our roads and bridges 🏆 Put money back into Kansans' pockets
We've been able to accomplish so much in 2023, but if we can grow our coalition to break the Supermajorities in 2024 we'll be able to do even more.
For generations, we’ve been guided by the simple belief that Kansans deserve better.
Today, we’re ready to write the next chapter – together.
Kansas Democrats believe what brings us together is far stronger than what
divides us. We strive to protect the freedom of the individual, while working
together to actively contribute to the vibrancy and vitality of our communities.
We believe that government has a responsibility to promote policies that provide
economic and social justice, access to healthcare, a clean environment, and safe
workplaces. Government has a responsibility to improve the human condition.
Kansas Democrats are committed to putting the people of Kansas first by
promoting the values and policies that advance the common good for all Kansans
