Dear Neighbor,
I'm looking forward to a wonderful start to 2024 and will keep working hard on your behalf to create an economy that is strong, a future that is free, a nation that is safe and a government that is accountable! Wishing you a safe and Happy New Year Celebration!
Please continue reading for a brief recap of my efforts on your behalf throughout the year.
Making Washington Work for You: : As 2023 draws to a close, I’m proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish on your behalf! It has been an honor and privilege to serve you! Below you will find just a few of the highlights of my efforts on your behalf.
Creating an Economy that is Strong: We can’t keep spending money we don’t have and adding to our enormous national debt which is why I’m fighting to restore fiscal sanity.
My colleagues and I are also fighting to restore American energy independence, reduce energy prices and protect our national interests.
Creating a Nation that is Safe and a Future that is Free: As record numbers of migrants continue to flood into our country, I’m fighting to secure the border! Here are just a few examples of my work in this area.
Just last week, it was announced that Border Patrol has encountered 30 people who are on the Terror Watch List trying to enter our country since October. In the month of November alone, there were 17. God only knows how many dangerous people were not caught by border officials. Our adversaries are exploiting President Biden’s weak border policies. We need to take immediate action to secure the border as a matter of national security! The House has delivered on its promise to secure the border and combat illegal immigration.
The Senate has failed to act on this measure since it passed the House in May - allowing the crisis to worsen. I’ll keep fighting to do the right thing and secure our border.
Make no mistake – China poses the single greatest threat to our future. I’m working to thwart growing Chinese aggression and restore America first policies. Here are just a few examples:
Additionally, we owe an immeasurable debt to the men and women who have served in our military to keep our country safe. Fighting for our nation’s heroes will continue to be my top priority in Congress. Here are just a few highlights of my work in 2023 on behalf of Veterans.
While we have made important progress, there is still a great deal of work to be done. I will use my new position as Veteran’s Advisor to Speaker Johnson to ensure our heroes receive the care and benefits they deserve.
Creating a Government that is Accountable: Americans deserve answers about the President’s involvement in his family’s corrupt influence peddling schemes. My colleagues and I are continuing to deliver on our promise to hold the Biden Administration accountable for its failures and unethical behavior.
I will keep fighting to expose the truth and ensure full transparency.
Learning from You Here at Home: My team and I are proud of our award winning constituent service, accessibility and engagement in the community. In addition to holding monthly office hours in each of my three offices, my team and I have attended more than 1,000 community events and helped on more than 6,000 individual constituent cases.
As we prepare for 2024, I’d like to know what issues are most important to you! Feel free to email, call, write or stop by one of my offices to share your input for the issues you believe Congress should prioritize in the year ahead. Your feedback truly helps make me a better Member of Congress.
Community Connection
I am fortunate to have a team of dedicated staff who regularly attend events throughout our community, especially when I am required to be in Washington, DC. Through their collective efforts, I am better able to stay connected to the issues that matter most to my constituents. As part of my commitment to developing a better understanding of the issues facing constituents in Citrus, Hernando and Pasco counties members of my team attended several events last week. Here are a few highlights.
My team enjoyed celebrating Father John of Christ the Savior Greek Orthodox Church in Hernando County's 50th anniversary of becoming ordained.
My team also was honored to help out with the St. Vincent DePaul Mobile Food Pantry in Brooksville.
Additionally, my team enjoyed the West Pasco Council of Neighborhoods Association brunch recently. It is great to see so many involved homeowners working together to strengthen our community.
Constituent Corner
My office recently received this message from a constituent after my team helped to correct an error that allowed her to resume receiving her Social Security benefits.
I would like to thank you, Mary Werner, and James Grenelle with all my heart. I wish you and yours a very merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year!
This is just one example of the work we do each day. Constituent services are a critical element of our congressional office. The federal government is a massive operation, and my office is available if you ever need assistance in navigating the bureaucracy or cutting through red tape. We are here to serve you!
