January 2023
We joined a picket line with the New York State Nurses Association in The
Bronx to support their fight for better pay and safer staffing protocols
at their hospitals — and after a 3-day strike, the nurses won a 19.2% pay
raise and an unprecedented increase in nurse-to-patient staffing ratios.

April 2023
Alexandria rallied with progressive city and state officials in Queens to
push for inclusion of progressive priorities in the New York State Budget
— including increased environmental protections, prison reform, public
housing, and Good Cause Eviction protections.

July 2023
After a town hall in The Bronx, Alexandria meets with organizers working
to alleviate transit congestion and pollution by reimagining an expressway
that runs through parts of her district.

Alexandria also stood in solidarity with SAG-AFTRA workers in New York
during their 118 day strike.

August 2023
As street vendors in Queens fight for small business protections,
Alexandria rallied with local elected officials to show support for street
vendors contributions to New York’s culture and economy.

September 2023
Alexandria and Team AOC participated in 26 different back-to-school events
across NYC, and distributed over 1,000 backpacks to children who didn’t
have one as the school year began.

Alexandria spoke at the March to End Fossil Fuels — where over 70k people
came together to peacefully protest our reliance on fossil fuels, in the
largest climate march in the US since the pandemic — and urged the crowd
to make sure that our movement for a Green New Deal became ‘too big and
too radical to ignore.’

Alexandria traveled to Wentzille, MO with Rep. Cori Bush to support United
Auto Workers striking for better pay, retirement benefits, and a fairer
wage structure.

October 2023
Alexandria and Team AOC welcomed over 300 children to our annual Halloween
Party.

November 2023
Alexandria joined American Airlines flight attendants picketing at
LaGuardia Airport, in her district. The flight attendants are in a
protracted contract renegotiation, and are fighting for better pay and
working conditions.

families around NYC who didn’t have one for Thanksgiving.
