We don’t want to take away from your holidays, so we will keep this quick:

Florida is one of the remaining Southeastern states with access to abortion after 6 weeks – but as Governor DeSantis and his GOP majority move to implement their own abortion bans, we must stay organized in the fight to protect that critical access point for millions of women. That’s why we have joined a bipartisan coalition in Florida working to pass a constitutional amendment protecting access to abortion.

Here’s what our work will look like:

Step 1: In order to get the constitutional amendment on the ballot by November 2024, our partners on the ground in Florida must submit 891,523 valid petition signatures to the state by February 1, 2024. That’s only 35 days away!

Step 2: Once the measure is on the ballot, it will require support from at least 60% of voters… Even though we know more than 60% of Floridians do not want an abortion ban in their state, it won’t be easy to get them all to the polls.

Here’s how you can help: Our partners have calculated the cost to collect signatures comes to about $12.50 per petition.

Organizers in Florida still need our help to raise enough money to cover these costs, raise awareness across the state, and collect signatures. This is what it will take to get abortion rights on the ballot in 2024. THEN the work to turn out the vote begins. Are you in?
