John,
As we near the end of the year, let’s talk about the danger of the status quo. Throughout this year, Congresswoman Cori refused to accept the status quo, because the status quo of a system of oppression is oppression.
She refused to accept a status quo where our so-called justice system sees Black, brown and Indigenous people as somehow more criminal and dangerous, that allows police to brutalize and kill our people with impunity, then turns around and perpetually increases no-strings-attached money for policing and wars while stripping our communities of critical funding.
She refused to accept a status quo that bans abortion care.
She refused to accept a status quo where people are paid $7.25 an hour while corporate profits soar as executives capitalize off of a crisis of greedflation.
She refused to accept a status quo that allows our trans siblings to be repeatedly targeted by legislation.
She refused to accept a status quo that funds the oppression of our Palestinian siblings and of communities striving for liberation and self-determination worldwide.
She refused to accept a status quo where we destroy our environment because Big Oil CEOs want another yacht.
She refused to accept a status quo that burdens regular, everyday folks with medical debt and education debt in the wealthiest nation in the world.
Congresswoman Cori refuses to accept the status quo of the very system that is hurting our communities. That’s why right-wing super PACs are lining up to attempt to silence her and our movement with MILLIONS of dollars.
Can you donate $20.24 right now so that we can reach our $20,000 end-of-year goal by midnight and have the resources we need to overcome the millions of dollars that Republican billionaire-funded super PACs are going to spend against us in the new year?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your secure donation will go through immediately:
It’s going to take each and every one of us to reject the status quo in 2024 and replace it with a vision for the future where we can all thrive, but as long as we work together, we can make that happen.
In solidarity,
Team Cori
