John, I can’t
help myself.

The first thing I did when I grabbed my phone this morning was check to
see how close we are to this quarter’s FEC goal ahead of our deadline at
11:59 pm tonight.

The answer? We’re still short.

And candidly speaking, we’ve been in this spot before. Our fundraising
goals aren’t easy to hit. Especially without taking a dime of corporate
PAC money. Especially relying on online donations for support. Especially
during the holidays.

But this team has a funny habit of coming through at the last possible
minute.

Except — maybe I’m just nervous — with New Year’s Eve celebrations
tonight, I’m worried this time around. Which is why I’m reaching out to
