A message from White Ribbon UK
Dear
I wanted to write to everyone to let you know how we plan to work in these extremely challenging and difficult times. We hope those of you who are able, will continue to support White Ribbon UK. The need to end male violence against women will not go away and many women and children will be at higher risk of violence and abuse whilst this crisis continues.
Our small team at White Ribbon UK are now working from home. We have brought forward the development of our online training programme as we believe this will be a useful activity for people to engage in whilst at home, if they are well. We are looking at how we can ensure our social media is responsive and appropriate to this new context. We would especially welcome blog posts written by you to potentially publish on our website.
We were about to announce our annual conference, which was due to take place in June, as the magnitude of the Coronavirus emergency became clear. We are working hard to make this an online conference and will update you once we have further details. The theme will remain ‘changing culture’ and we will have contributions from leading speakers in the field. By going online there will be opportunities to join with international speakers and a wider audience. We will not only be looking at how to address changing culture once we are through the Coronavirus epidemic, but we will also have sessions on how we can respond to the situation as it stands.
This is a difficult time for all organisations. If you feel you can help White Ribbon UK continue its work, please consider making a one off or regular donation:
