Over the years, we have made some incredible progress together for Alabamians who are working hard to make ends meet. Because of support from members like you, Arise and our partners have protected renters’ rights through the Landlord-Tenant Act. We created state trust funds for affordable housing and public transportation. We ended the lifetime ban on food assistance benefits for people with a past felony drug conviction. And this year, we passed a bill to reduce the state grocery tax by half! There’s so much more work to do. We must keep up this momentum as we head into the new year.
