The end of 2023 is a bittersweet moment at Emgage. Although we are proud of what we have achieved this year, the crisis in Gaza is a reminder of the tough challenges that we must still overcome to ensure that our voices are heard and our rights are protected.
Throughout this crisis, Emgage worked tirelessly in support of an immediate ceasefire and to end unconditional aid to the Israeli government given its gross human rights violations against the Palestinian people. As part of our efforts, we engaged with hundreds of Congressional offices and met directly with senior White House officials, including the President, Secretary of State, and National Security Advisor demanding not only a ceasefire but also the initiation of a credible political process that leads to Palestinian self-determination. This will remain a top priority for us in 2024, and beyond. Given the shocking rise in anti-Muslim, Arab, and Palestinian hate, and the stifling of our freedom of speech by pro-Israel groups, we have no choice but to redouble our efforts and commitments in support of more principled foreign policies. Our democracy depends on it.

In 2023, we took the fight in support of Palestinian rights and our freedoms at home directly to the American public. From prime-time appearances on CNN and PBS NewsHour to countless print media interviews, Emgage worked around the clock to counter the harmful narrative that emerged since October 7. In 2024, our public engagement work will only increase given the centrality of owning our narrative as a community. |

The Muslim Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs Summit, held in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce, marked a historic achievement. This event brought together influential business leaders from the Muslim-American community, fostering connections that will undoubtedly contribute to the growth and prosperity of our community. |

In 2023 we worked hard to bring communities together. Our Muslim Civic Table convening program has grown to include over 100 Table members nationwide. This initiative continues strengthening and connecting our community, fostering collaboration among Muslim leaders, nonprofits, and organizations. |

Our commitment to honoring the rich legacy of Black Muslims in America was evident in events such as the "Honoring the Legacy of Black Muslims" town hall and the Black History Month luncheon in Washington D.C. These gatherings provided meaningful opportunities for reflection, education, and celebration of the diversity and resilience within our community. |

In 2024, Emgage will launch the Million Muslim Votes campaign to ensure that our community shows up in even more numbers than ever. The enthusiastic response and participation we have witnessed are inspiring, underscoring the importance of our shared mission.
While the challenges before us are significant, our resolve is stronger. We remain dedicated to promoting civic engagement, fostering community development, and advocating for the rights and values of Muslim Americans.
