Something is abundantly clear: the Boundary Waters is unlike anywhere else on the planet. But this incredible place is at risk.
Dear John,
As passionate explorers and proud owners of Wintergreen Dogsled Lodge in Ely, Minnesota, our family has had the privilege to travel and witness the beauty of astounding places around the world. We’ve learned a lot from these places, and they’ve made something abundantly clear: the Boundary Waters is unlike anywhere else on the planet. But this incredible place is at risk.
Our family and many other business owners are worried about the threat posed by proposed sulfide-ore copper mining next to the Boundary Waters and the recent approval of drilling near Birch Lake. This type of mining is extremely toxic and would devastate the Wilderness our businesses rely on. We must act now - before midnight tonight - to protect this Wilderness before it's too late. Please rush a 2x tax-deductible donation right away to help us save the Boundary Waters.
Copper mining would permanently pollute over 1 million acres of interconnected waterways and destroy a fragile ecosystem along the way. It pains us to imagine the pristine waterways and the peaceful Wilderness replaced by the harsh noise of drilling and a vibrant yet fragile ecosystem polluted forever. It is the responsibility of those enjoying a place this beautiful to stand up for it and ensure it is protected forever, for everyone. But we cannot do it alone - we need your help.
Now is the time to go all in for the Boundary Waters. Join us and others who have been awakened to the beauty of the place and the threat that we are up against. Rush your gift today >>
