Dear John,

Today is the last day to make a 2023 tax-deductible gift. With your gift of compassion now, you'll help ensure that the groundbreaking efforts of President and Mrs. Carter continue. You'll empower vulnerable people with the tools to overcome disease and war.

President and Mrs. Carter with group of people in Ethiopia

When President and Mrs. Carter started the fight against Guinea worm in 1986, there were an estimated 3.5 million cases annually. This year, there were fewer than 15 cases in the whole world!

All of this has been accomplished through volunteer-led preventive education and simple, low-cost methods like water filtration.

Your support allows us to continue working until this disease is gone forever. And it helps with so many other programs that work for peace and health in measurable ways.

Please Make a Gift Now for Peace and Health »

Your gift of $100 can help build four household latrines for disease prevention in Niger or provide emergency transport for one human rights defender in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Your gift of $250 can help provide a sight-saving surgery kit to be used in South Sudan or conflict mitigation training for women in Mali.

Your gift of $500 can help buy hand- and face-washing stations for two schools in Ethiopia or a week of data analysis and reporting on unexploded munitions in Syria.

Your gift of $750 can help buy materials to screen 300 patients for river blindness or sponsor cross-partisan workshops to prevent election-related violence in the U.S.

When people gain the tools to achieve better health, build flourishing democracies, and advance human rights, we have seen them work hard to sustain long-term improvements. Your generosity today means they can make lasting change.

As we go into the new year, thank you for opening your heart to people in need. Your partnership ensures that the important work of President and Mrs. Carter can continue until everyone knows peace.
Sincerely,
Paige Alexander
