Last Chance to Give in 2023
Dear John,
Thank YOU for making 2023 so impactful. We are energized by the thousands who have supported us in this historic year of marine wildlife protection. Thank YOU!
2023 can be summarized best by our Chief Scientist Andrea when she saw a Vaquita calf during the Survey in May;
“Seeing a vaquita calf for the first time during the 2023 survey was breathtaking. It meant that there is hope and that all these years of hard work were worth it. It’s incredible how that little creature can give you courage to not give up.”
Seeing a calf means our campaign to save them is effective, and we won’t give up on the Vaquita or any species.
2024 will bring new campaigns, new species, new boats and new hope for the endangered species of our oceans. In January, we will expand our operations in the Upper Gulf of California to begin protection of the at-risk Totoaba along with a new boat to help with that new responsibility, we will co-lead a campaign in Antarctica around the devastation of whales’s Krill stock, and will again have staff on the Faroe Islands working shoulder to shoulder with Sea Shepherd Global in the 2024 Stop The Grind campaign to protect dolphins and pilot whales.
As a donation-driven grassroots movement, Sea Shepherd is only answerable to you, our supporters, and the sea lions, whales, sharks, turtles and porpoises we defend.
Thank you for making 2023 such a historic year in marine protection, and if you have not given yet please take a moment to help us build on the 2023 momentum and have even more impact in 2024.
Thank you.
