The world crossed a perilous threshold this past summer when global surface air temperatures briefly rose, for the first time, to more than 1.5° C (2.7° F) above pre-industrial levels. It’s a sign that we need to be doing more work to make meaningful reductions in climate pollution.

# Harnessing nature to fight climate change by protecting and restoring critical carbon sinks like wetlands, tropical forests and oceans.
