I hope your holiday season is going well and you’re staying warm as winter approaches.

I’m writing to emphasize to my grassroots supporters that I want to work with you all to find solutions to the issues in our community that resonate with you. I want to be an agent for change, but only if that means I can listen to and help the people I represent.

You see, my mom always said, “Don’t complain about it, be about it.” So, when I witnessed first-hand the struggles my neighbors were facing, I knew I had to do something. So I did.

I co-founded Network Delaware and became President/CEO of the Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League. These two organizations played crucial roles in many community-altering victories, like passing the $15 minimum wage and improving access to maternal healthcare.
