I believe with every fiber of my being that family is the most important thing in our lives. And with only a few hours left before our next FEC deadline, I’m asking this team to commit to helping the families of Uvalde and HD 80.

Since deciding to run for office, I’ve spent my time traveling across the district hearing from families just like mine. I’ve heard stories of so many living paycheck to paycheck (or loan to loan), elderly folks who can’t afford their medicine, and parents who are still afraid every time they send their children to school. And every single story I hear reminds me why I am running to represent them.

But if Texas Republicans have it their way, these stories will continue. The future I believe we can build in Texas — the future that the families here deserve — will be at risk. We can’t let that happen. And I don’t believe we will.
