USA for UNFPA

Ashley Judd

Hi, it’s actress and humanitarian Ashley Judd.

I am writing to you today with a heavy heart after months of constant disasters and crises. From earthquakes in Morocco in Afghanistan, to flooding in Libya, to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, the West Bank, Israel, and Sudan, there has been too much human suffering.

Women, girls, and newborns are often hit the hardest in these emergencies. They eat last and eat least. Amidst the chaos, violence against women soars and child marriage skyrockets. And, too often, women and girls have nowhere to turn for help.

That’s why it is vital to me to partner with UNFPA as a Goodwill Ambassador: The United Nations sexual and reproductive health and rights agency. UNFPA works with local organizations to support women and girls in the world’s most desperate places. Our dedicated teams of humanitarian workers maintain a lifeline of support for women.

Those lifelines of support can only reach every woman and girl with your help. Will you please rush a humanitarian gift before our Year-End Deadline on December 31st to deliver the gift of hope to millions?

I’ve traveled the world to meet with vulnerable people in 22 countries, including those living in refugee camps and slums.

I’ve seen firsthand the anguish of women and girls living in the darkest places without access to basic needs and support services.

I’ve also witnessed firsthand the hope that your gift can deliver to survivors of violence in Ukraine, new mothers in the Congo, refugees rebuilding their lives in Jordan, girls at risk of child marriage in Bangladesh, and more.

I will always fight for women and girls. But I am keenly aware I cannot do it alone. Will you please rush a generous gift to deliver care before our Year-End Deadline on December 31st?

Please join me in being there for every woman and girl, no matter what.

Thank you,

Ashley Judd
