You have played a huge role in securing $37 million in public funding for wildlife crossing structures across the United States in 2023.
Your financial support was pivotal to accomplishing so many state wildlife policy victories this year.
State policies that protect migration corridors ensure that future development considers the needs of wildlife. They provide the funds necessary to develop structures that lessen transportation’s impacts on wildlife mortality and driver safety.
In Nevada, your investment secured legislation providing $5 million for a Wildlife Crossings Account. We began developing legislation for Nevada in 2021, and over the past two years, we helped shepherd the final bill through both chambers with unanimous bipartisan support.
A statewide bill like Nevada’s, which will help make wildlife and motorists safer wouldn’t be possible without YOU!
Next Tuesday marks the official start of the giving season. Will you join us this Giving Tuesday, November 28, to support next year’s policy efforts that will continue to transform our transportation networks and allow more safe pathways for wildlife to cross our roads?
PS: Thanks to a generous $10,000 challenge grant, every donation from now until Giving Tuesday will be matched dollar for dollar. Please help us rise to this challenge!
