Dear Friend,

As we get ready to wrap up 2023, I want to thank you for giving me the honor to serve you in our nation's capital.

I will always work to be a strong voice for hardworking families across our state, fight for our shared values, and put forward solutions to get America back on track.
FIGHTING FOR A STRONGER AMERICA
I promised families across the Second District that I would fight to bring down inflation, secure the southern border, cut wasteful government spending, hold Washington bureaucrats accountable, and protect the Constitutional rights of all Kansans.

Since House Republicans took the majority in January, I have worked to pass commonsense solutions to deliver on those commitments:
Secure the Border Act: restarts construction of the border wall, ends catch-and-release, and increases the number of Border Patrol agents.
Lower Energy Costs Act: unleashes American energy production, removes burdensome federal regulations, and lowers energy costs for Kansans.
Fiscal Responsibility Act: Cuts $2.1 trillion of wasteful government spending to bring down prices and halt soaring inflation.
Social Security Fairness Act: helps guarantee Kansas seniors and survivors receive their full Social Security benefits.
Lower Costs, More Transparency Act: increases price transparency, lowers out-of-pocket costs for seniors, and expands access to more affordable generic drugs.
Parents Bill of Rights: ensures parents, not politicians, have a seat at the table when it comes to their children’s education.
Impeachment Inquiry Against President Biden: uses the Oversight Committee to investigate alleged influence peddling by President Biden and his family members.
SERVING KANSAS FAMILIES
My number one priority as your Member of Congress is to provide the highest quality constituent services to folks across the district. I am proud of the work my office has done this year to help over 1,600 Kansans navigate our burdensome and confusing federal government.

We were able to return $4.4 million to hardworking families from the IRS, VA, SBA, and other federal agencies and respond to over 40,000 messages about my work in Washington and across Kansas.
It's an honor to fight for you in Washington, and I am optimistic for America's future as we head into 2024. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you ever need anything from my office. Happy New Year and God Bless!
Sincerely,
Jake LaTurner
