Hi John, You have been working really, really hard this year, and I wanted to say THANK YOU! We both know that no one wants to read a long email right now, so as I reflect on the good times and tough moments we faced in 2023, there was one constant: you. Our voice is only as strong as the people behind us; we would be nowhere without ONE supporters and activists.

Now let’s address the elephant in the room. This has been a hard year for those like you and me who believe in U.S.-led foreign assistance. The delayed reauthorization of the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) has made it impossible to not be frustrated. We share your frustration. But it’s more important than ever to remind policymakers that Americans support these efforts. And that is exactly what we plan on doing in 2024 - we’re going to continue the fight for PEPFAR and other development and humanitarian aid while pushing new policies and ideas for a more equal future.
