Dear URGE Community,

During this uncertain time, we’ve been thinking about you a lot. As URGE navigates this complex and changing situation, we are holding close in our hearts those who are most affected by COVID-19 and its social and economic impacts: people who work low-wage jobs or have been laid off, healthcare workers, elderly loved ones, people with disabilities and pre-existing health conditions, young people kicked off campuses, people who are homeless, detained, or incarcerated, and people of Asian and Pacific Islander descent. By honoring each other’s unique needs, we will get through this together. <[link removed]>

COVID-19 won’t stop URGE’s important work. Instead, we’re getting creative. To protect the health of our communities, all URGE programming and events will move fully online until further notice. This includes all organizing and actions for our Abortion Positive Tour. We are planning some exciting, interactive digital activities — please stay tuned for more details. In addition, the Young People’s Reproductive Justice Power Summit will be postponed, more information is forthcoming. <[link removed]>

In addition to our commitment to protecting each other from COVID-19, we are also committed to helping stop the spread of misinformation. We encourage you to visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention <[link removed]> (CDC) and the World Health Organization <[link removed]>. These websites have the most accurate and up-to-date information, including guidance on prevention and control <[link removed]>. <[link removed]>

As this situation develops, know that we stand with each and every one of you. Please keep in touch via social media and email. Even though we can’t be together in person, remember: We are still a community and we are resilient.  <[link removed]>

Take care of each other.

En Solidaridad, <[link removed]>
