Dear John,

Amidst all the uncertainty of the present moment, I hope you and yours are
taking good care.

These past few weeks have been a time of uncertainty and worry for all of
us. I'm writing to assure you that we are in this together, and that we
have your back.

The need for social distancing and other protective measures is affecting
all of us, including how we work. Our Moms Demand Action and Students
Demand Action in-person volunteer events for the next two weeks are being
moved to virtual formats, and most of our advocacy is shifting to actions
you can take from home. We'll continue to reassess our events as the
situation develops, but we are still doing what we can to advocate for
lifesaving gun violence prevention laws and to stop the gun lobby across
the country. We also remain laser-focused on electing gun sense champions
in the November elections.

In the current circumstances, we're doing our best to bring awareness to
the risk of gun-related domestic violence and suicide, as well as guidance
on safe gun storage while our children find themselves at home during the
school day for the next several weeks. The COVID-19 pandemic presents a
new set of challenges for all of us, and we want to be here for you in any
way that we can.

To that end, we here at Everytown have compiled a short list of ideas and
resources for how you can take care of yourself and, when you're ready,
stay engaged with our movement as we navigate the coming weeks and months:

* BeSMART. With kids at home every day, it is more important than ever
to make sure you practice safe gun storage and remind others to do the
same. [ [link removed] ]Find out more on besmartforkids.org.

* Phonebank. [ [link removed] ]Sign up to get information about joining various
phonebanks throughout the next few weeks. We will be calling about
state and federal legislative priorities, and you can do it right from
home.

* Stay Connected. Follow [ [link removed] ]@momsdemand, [ [link removed] ]@studentsdemand, and
[ [link removed] ]@everytown on social media for up-to-date information on how to
stay involved from home.

* Self Care. During this time, we're putting in a lot of effort to help
those in need—but we also need to make sure to take care of ourselves.
[ [link removed] ]See our guide on self-care practices that helps explain how you can
best care for yourself in a time of stress and uncertainty.

Whatever else you do, please keep yourself safe. We appreciate you and are
thinking of you, not just as a member of our movement, but as a member of
our family.

We will keep you posted on our movement as things develop.

Sincerely,

John Feinblatt
