It’s terrible to think about what animals endure on factory farms. And rather than ignore those emotions, I believe it’s time we changed our food system for the better.

My name’s Edi, and I’m proud to be a donor to The Humane League. Long story short: I believe in this community. And I believe in you.

Factory farming is an emergency that unfolds every day. It’s at the core of so many problems our world faces—climate change, food insecurity, animal exploitation. Changing this colossal system of industrialized cruelty won’t be easy. But this community has shown that it’s up to the task.

Thanks to the support of people like you, The Humane League has already transformed the lives of millions of pigs, cows, and chickens. In thinking about how I can do my part in helping to create a better world, I’m confident that this is exactly where my dollars will have the most impact.

One of my most closely held beliefs is that factory farming doesn’t only harm animals. It harms our entire society. It normalizes violence. It exploits workers and destroys communities. It pollutes the air we breathe and the water we drink. And worst of all, it treats animals like cogs in a machine, rather than living beings with feelings and personalities.

The progress that this community has made gives me hope that one day, we’ll treat animals with the respect and care they deserve. And we’ll all see a more peaceful world because of it.
