It has been a great year for the ECU/LAV Action Fund, and we couldn’t have accomplished any of it without your support. You are the reason why we are able to keep fighting against corruption and Big Money in politics, and keep supporting democracy and ethics reform. 

To remind you, here’s just a few of the things we’ve been able to accomplish together in 2023:

• We launched a young voter initiative in New York, ensuring that young people are more involved in New York politics than ever before

• We fought back against unethical behavior on the Supreme Court and pushed for passage of the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency (SCERT) Act

• We continued to support legislators who refuse corporate PAC money and who support pro-democracy legislation

• We called out No Labels, whose “common sense majority” motto is nothing but a cover for Republican mega-donors to avoid paying taxes on their contributions 

We accomplished so much together in 2023, but 2024 is shaping up to be even more important. With Donald Trump’s continued attacks on our democracy, so much is at stake and we’re going to need all hands on deck next year. Over the past year we’ve seen countless examples of how our democracy is at risk. From Supreme Court Justices buddying up with Republican billionaires to Members of Congress spending campaign funds on luxury goods and porn, the corruption we’re seeing in our country is incredibly dangerous. 

2024 is a crucial year for our democracy and we’re gearing up for a fight. We need to free our democracy from the clutches of mega-donors and Dark Money and protect our voting rights that are in peril across the country.
