John, it's Colin's finance director, Lauren. I've been glued to my computer all night waiting for the latest fundraising numbers, and they just came in: 

To be honest, I really hoped we'd end the year on a better note.

After tomorrow, our numbers will go public – and it's so important that we end the year on a high note. If we miss our goal, it'll give a HUGE boost to Ted Cruz's campaign heading into 2024. We know we can beat him, but we need your help to do it.

Please, don't make me tell Colin we missed the most important goal of the year: Can you rush $5 or whatever you're able so that we can hit our $500,000 end-of-year goal and start the election year off strong?

This grassroots team has accomplished amazing things this year. Since Colin launched his campaign, we've knocked our goals out of the park, reached thousands of voters in every corner of Texas, and received donations from more than 160,000 dedicated supporters. 

But this is still a 50-50 race. That means that any misstep or missed goal could cost us the election – and then we'd end up with six more years of Ted Cruz. 

To start 2024 off in the best possible spot to win, we absolutely need to hit our $500,000 goal by midnight tomorrow. So please: Will you chip in $5, $10, or anything so that we can continue this fight to give Texans the leadership they deserve?
