Gun Violence Prevention Advocate, 

We probably haven’t met yet, but I joined CeaseFirePA this year because I’m a mother of three wonderful kids. And, I worry every day I send them to school, will I get a call about a shooting like at Parkland or Uvalde?

That’s why I spend every day ensuring we have the resources to keep my kids safe and every other kid in the Commonwealth. And three days from the end of 2023 I have to wonder–will we have the resources for 2024? 

The gun lobby has millions of dollars behind it, helping push its dangerous agenda–and I worry. I worry that the gun safety voice will be drowned out by powerful interests that put gun rights over community safety. 

I’m looking at the numbers, and we could be drowned out right now because we’re short. Will you step up right now to ensure our team has the resources to fight for community safety?

We’ve set a goal of $150,000 by the end of December. It’s not a random number. It’s what we need to put Deadly By Design stories in front of decision-makers. It’s what we need to bring hundreds to Harrisburg to demand action. It’s what we need to hire a new Public Health Partnerships Coordinator to amplify the voices of doctors. 

We cannot win this fight without you. Please give generously before the year is through.
