I’m writing to humbly ask you to make a contribution — $10 or whatever you can afford — before our official FEC fundraising deadline closes at midnight tomorrow.

Let me explain:

Since day one, this campaign has been powered by grassroots supporters like you who give $5, $10 or even $25 to emails just like this. No Super PACs, no corporate special interests, just regular people chipping in what they can.

With our final FEC deadline coming up tomorrow, we had no choice but to set ambitious goals to close out the year. That’s because we are legally required to submit our fundraising totals to the FEC, who will then publish them online for all to see.

So you can bet that the far-right and Big Oil will be watching to see if we still have true grassroots support. If not enough people chip in between today and tomorrow, we risk sending all the wrong messages.

But the thing is, when everyone reading this email contributes what they can, an $10 contribution from you is really all it takes to meet and potentially even surpass our goals in no time.

So please, I’m humbly asking:
