Hi John,

More than 5,000 Florida manatees have died since the species' protection was reduced in 2017.

The Center for Biological Diversity is in court to get them back their full Endangered Species Act protection.

Please make a gift now to the Saving Life on Earth Fund. All gifts through tomorrow night will be doubled.

Mass starvation events caused by seagrass loss, plus boat strikes and water temperature fluctuations, are pushing these gentle giants toward extinction.

We're fighting each day for manatees and the other wildlife we love so much.

This year we won lifesaving Endangered Species Act protection for 45 species, from California spotted owls and cactus ferruginous pygmy owls to pond turtles and mussels called Cumberland moccasinshells.

We also got 3.8 million acres of critical habitat declared — for nearly four dozen species.

We secured a national recovery plan for gray wolves and took legal action to keep them safe in Oregon and Washington state.

After a decades-long fight, we won Endangered Species Act protection for wolverines.

We put the eastern hellbender, southern hognose snake, Clear Lake hitch and several other species back on track for endangered species protections the Trump administration denied them.

In the most sweeping, ambitious Endangered Species Act pesticide case ever filed against the EPA, we forced the agency to overhaul its approach and take major steps to protect every endangered species from pesticides.

We mobilized 75,000 climate justice advocates to the March to End Fossil Fuels in New York, continuing to lead the way toward ending the era of oil and gas.

Since we were founded, the Center has achieved Endangered Species Act protection for 758 species and over half a billion acres of protected critical habitat.

Saving the natural world is the fight of our lives. And we need you with us to win.

So please — double your gift now to our Saving Life on Earth Fund. Through tomorrow night, donations will be matched..
