Hi there,
As I continue to closely monitor the development of COVID-19, I hope that all of you out there are also taking the necessary precautions to keep your family safe. Even still, we must keep in mind those in our community who may be greatly impacted and do not have the resources to combat this pandemic.
That is why my team has put together a list of local charities that are on the frontlines of this crisis and are ensuring everyone has access to food as our communities grapple with this public health challenge. Please consider making a donation of any size to one of the following organizations:
Food Bank of Central New York: The Food Bank of Central New York is working hard to continue emergency food service distribution during this time. Emergency food resources must be made available to these families in order for the self-quarantine to be a realistic expectation.
Food Bank of the Southern Tier: The Food Bank of the Southern Tier is stepping up production of emergency food boxes to distribute in our communities so that shutdowns and closures don’t force our most vulnerable neighbors, including seniors and families who may be affected by the coronavirus known as COVID-19, to go without.
Feed our Vets: Feed Our Vets' mission is to help Veterans in the United States, their spouses and children, whose circumstances have left them on the battlefield of hunger. It is critical we continue to support our Veterans who already face a high rate of food insecurity across this country.
Folks, let’s continue to look out for one another and we will get through this.
Thank you.
