A look back over your highlights for wildlife
Hello John,
Having kicked off the year with the glorious news that our beloved Co-Founder Virginia McKenna had been made a Dame, there have been remarkable achievements for wild animals in the past 12 months, thanks to you!
We rescued Fasika and Ramadan, the cheetah cubs, from the illegal wildlife trade in Ethiopia. India announced they now have 3,682 wild tigers, up 160% since our work first began there in 2004.
Wild lions are up 25% in Kenya, to over 2,500 since 2010, when our work began, including 20 cubs born this year in our Meru heartland. And it’s now illegal in the UK to advertise elephant riding or other cruel activities overseas.
None of this good news would be possible without your loyal support and incredible donations. Don’t take our word for it, enjoy our short film crammed with success stories.
