Friend, as an immigrant, I am fiercely proud to be an American. This country has given my family and me so much: An incredible education, financial stability, opportunities to help my community, a chance to serve, and a safe place to call home.

We worked hard to win the American Dream that we're living today. For my mom, that meant double shifts followed by night classes to learn English. For me, it meant working a minimum wage job in the early mornings before homeroom to make sure that my mom could pay rent that month.

Our journey wasn't easy. But there were opportunities along the way that made my story possible. These opportunities are the foundation of everything that our country stands for. But today, those same opportunities are under attack from far-right Republicans like my opponent Rick Scott. 

Rick Scott and MAGA extremists like him want to end the Affordable Care Act, cut Social Security and Medicare, let Big Pharma jack up the cost of our prescription medications, keep college out of reach for so many of us, and raise taxes on working families. They're doing nothing to address any of the very real and urgent issues facing families.

That's why I'm running for Senate — to protect the opportunities that made my story possible and help other families achieve their American Dream. 

Polling data shows that this race is already tied, but I'll need strong grassroots support to defeat Rick Scott and his fortune of millions. And right now, I'm pacing dangerously behind my $300k end-of-quarter goal before the election year begins.
