The New York Times reported: “Democrats and Black voters in the state objected to the new maps, which… were unfavorable to Representative Lucy McBath. [The decision] also ensured that Republican incumbents in both the Statehouse and Washington would be protected from a primary political challenger for their seats.”

Politico reported: “[This decision] imperils Rep. Lucy McBath.”

And here in Atlanta, 11 Alive reported that “McBath’s District was drastically affected by the new maps. Her campaign put out the following statement… 'I hope that the judicial system will not allow the state legislature to suppress the will of Georgia voters.'" 

As you can see, Lucy and our whole campaign team are in a tough spot here. We’ve got to gear up for an unpredictable route back to Congress in 2024.
