This is Ike McCorkle, Marine Corps veteran and Democrat running in Colorado’s Fourth congressional district. My friend and fellow veteran Jerrad told me I should reach out. 

Jerrad and I are both former servicemembers, and each of us are running in rural and suburban districts that tend to support Democrats who have served in the armed forces. Our approach to politics and winning our campaigns reflects our shared experience in the military: be respectful, be direct and honest, and show up and work harder than everyone else.

Jerrad and I are both also running against some very dangerous Republicans who put Trump above country, and above democracy and the rule of law.

That is why I am writing to you today with some urgent news: Lauren Boebert just announced that she will abandon her district and run against me in a last-ditch attempt to save her failing campaign. 

I am the Democrat who has been running to flip Colorado’s 4th Congressional district blue since 2020 and as a retired Marine Corps Officer and Purple Heart recipient - I am ready for a fight.

Lauren Boebert is weak and vulnerable, and has no ties to my district - my team and I have built name recognition, gathered over 22,000 grassroots donations, and have put together a coalition of thousands of supporters from across the district and state. Beating Boebert on our home turf is how we finally get her out of Congress. 

We are now taking on one of the GOP’s biggest fundraisers and we need to supercharge our fundraising immediately. - can I count on you to rush a split donation between me and Jerrad Christian to help us flip this district blue, beat Boebert, and elect Democrats across the country?
