Dear Friends and Neighbors, 2023 has been a challenging year for many across our great community, but I’m absolutely committed to continuing the fight for our Constitutional values and priorities. Our great Republic and way of life are worth fighting for to preserve the blessing of liberty and great American experiment onto the next generation. As I conclude my ninth year in the MN Legislature and first year as MN Senator, it continues to be my honor serving the great people of our area! Among the top issues and concerns I’ve received the most feedback and thousands of communications from constituents this past year include: - Skyrocketing cost of living including groceries, housing, and childcare costs due to inflation caused by government eroding the value of the dollar by the printing of money out of thin air being dumped into circulation compounded by wasteful government spending
- Stand for pro-life and in the gap for precious, innocent life still in the womb despite the culture of death promoted by many
- Protect transparency, accountability, parental authority and the minds of children against the perversion of Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE), gender confusion, and poison of Critical Race Theory (CRT) from being taught in the K-12 classroom
- Fight for 1st Amendment rights including Freedom of Speech and Religious Liberty against government and businesses suppressing family values via threatening livelihoods and mandating compliance with priorities of those with reprobate minds
- Guard our 2nd Amendment rights against those who seek to confiscate guns from law abiding citizens
- Enact tax cuts and give back the tax overcollection budget surplus
- Support our law enforcement professionals who risk their lives for us as shootings, carjackings, and other crime continue to skyrocket resulting from violent criminals feeling emboldened by those elected officials and other influencers demanding police be defunded
- Resolve the K-12 funding inequity by correcting the education funding formula which unfairly deprives our children of educational opportunities
I’ve included several pictures at the end of this email recapping some of the activities I’ve been engaged with throughout 2023 in the ongoing battle for truth. I’ve also included screenshots of several news headlines that were highlighted throughout the past year. As we enter 2024, I wish you, your family, and loved ones a Happy New Year! Eric | Sen.
