As we revel in the joy of the holiday season and eagerly anticipate the arrival of a brand new year, I wanted to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes to each and every one of you. I hope this time is filled with happiness, good health, and cherished moments spent with loved ones.
I find myself incredibly enthusiastic about the opportunities and possibilities that lie ahead this upcoming year. Our vibrant and resilient Democratic community across New Jersey has been a source of inspiration and strength, and I am truly excited about the prospect of continuing to connect and collaborate with all of you. My commitment to you all remains unwavering—to work alongside our diverse and passionate community, to champion the values of our party, and to forge a path towards progress and unity. For this week’s new member spotlight, we’re excited to introduce John McKeon, Rosaura Bagolie, and Alixon Collazos-Gill, who will be representing District 27! We’re also welcoming Britnee Timberlake, Mike Venezia, and Carmen Morales as our new state legislators from District 34. As the Essex County Democratic Chairman, I have had the opportunity to work closely with each of these fine public servants throughout their careers, and I could not be more excited for each of them to step into these new roles serving the people of New Jersey. Along with the rest of the Essex County legislative delegation, this is a group that reflects the diversity of New Jersey and truly represents the best of our communities.

P.S. Last week at the Essex County Young Dems Home for the Holidays event, I was honored to receive the first Sheila Y. Oliver Leadership Award. Not only was Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver a fighter for New Jersey, she was a dear close friend of my family and I. Receiving this award is an honor and a privilege and I thank the Essex Young Democrats and the Oliver family for it. Let us all continue to honor her legacy by creating a better, brighter and more equitable future for New Jersey.
