Dr. Ibbotson gave a presentation on his working paper, which examines his theory that humans have side-stepped natural selection through technological advances. Dr. Gladys is the founder and CEO of Conservation Through Public Health, Population Connection’s first Global Partner. She’s also a member of Population Connection’s Board of Directors! She published her memoir in early spring, an excerpt of which was featured in the March 2023 issue of our quarterly magazine. Those of you who joined us to discuss the book were moved and inspired by Dr. Gladys’ journey of becoming Uganda’s first wildlife veterinarian and a pioneer in wildlife conservation.
