This month, I stood alongside union leaders and Jewish advocates demanding
a ceasefire. The next day, dozens of staff from the Biden administration
held a vigil outside the White House, “risking their jobs and, possibly,
their careers because they know the stakes of this moment.”[ [link removed] ]

It shouldn’t be controversial to say: Stop the killing! Let’s save lives!
In fact, it's what a vast majority of Americans and people around the
world are calling for, and our anti-war movement keeps growing.

But rather than work for a ceasefire or acknowledge the humanity of
Palestinians, our elected leaders are supporting more violence. Before the
House adjourned for the year, my colleagues voted to approve an $886.3
billion budget for war and destruction—the largest military budget in the
history of our country. I voted against this massively wasteful budget
that funds more bombs, weapons, and war crimes.
