John –

I'm writing to you from Eastern Europe, where we're in the middle of the coldest time of the year.

In Ukraine, where relentless fighting continues, temperatures tend to stay below freezing for days on end, snow can pile into mountainous drifts, and icy winds can cut right through the walls of damaged homes.

But the war doesn't stop just because winter has arrived. And many children and families are spending these brutal nights without warm blankets or winter coats, and with no way to heat their homes. But John, your support can make all the difference.

Right now, the IRC is on the ground providing essential aid for Ukrainians facing a harsh winter amidst the ongoing war, and we are relying on the generosity of supporters like you to strengthen our response. Your gift will have 3X the impact if you give right now. Will you send your support to help children and families in Ukraine and other conflict areas worldwide?

John, fuel shortages and attacks on critical infrastructure like power plants mean that blackouts have become a frequent reality, and civilians are often unable to heat their homes during long winter nights. Hospitals near the frontlines do not have the medications they need to treat patients amidst winter threats like pneumonia and hypothermia.

That's why the IRC is rapidly scaling up our response to the harsh winter that's just set in. It’s critically important that we’re able to reach families who have been cut off from access to essential items or electricity as the conflict has left entire communities in rubble.

Your gift, for example, can ensure that we continue our work in Ukraine providing essential winter items such as blankets, sleeping bags, shelter kits and heaters to keep people warm. We're also offering emergency support — including cash and health assistance — to people displaced from their homes.

We're asking you to help us rush aid to displaced children and families who are facing a cold winter without enough warm clothes, heat or shelter that keeps out the snow and rain. Can you help us meet the needs of families in Ukraine and other crisis zones by making a gift while all donations are being matched 3X? Make your tax deductible donation right now, while your generosity has the largest possible impact >>
