As 2023 comes to an end, I offer you a summary of the year’s legislative progress and achievements. My responsibility as your elected representative is to lead with transparency and accountability, and I strongly believe it is essential to keep YOU, the District 1 constituents, informed about the decisions I make.
Apart from decisions made in council chambers, I have been actively engaged in the community attending numerous events and town halls – all an opportunity to meet you, answer questions, and bring your needs back to City Hall. In 2023, my team and I attended more than 80 community events, hosted 11 Connect with Your Community Representatives and town halls, and tabled monthly at open markets in La Jolla and Pacific Beach. I am grateful for the opportunities my staff and I had this year to help protect and enhance the quality of life for District 1 residents and businesses. I also had the privilege of presenting 27 constituents and organizations with proclamations ranging from extraordinary accomplishments, admirable resilience, and the highest honors. As we look forward to the coming new year, I remain committed to delivering for my constituents, the district, and the City of San Diego.Thank you for the honor of being your councilmember.
