The Social Security and Medicare we paid for with every paycheck is a THREAT?
The reality is Mike Johnson - who is second in line to the presidency - and his extremist supporters are a threat to us and the benefits we worked a lifetime to earn.
It sounds incredible, but it’s true. The Republicans who elected him speaker are chomping at the bit to cut Social Security and Medicare. This year 172 House Republicans even signed off on a budget plan that raises the retirement age, cuts Social Security benefits, and ends guaranteed health care benefits for retirees.
We can’t let that happen.
The good news is we’ve faced these battles before and we know how to win. But it won’t be easy.
Our 2024 plans are to educate and mobilize tens of thousands of grassroots activists to save Social Security and Medicare. We will organize protests, flood Capitol Hill with calls and letters, and make sure everyone knows whether their representative cares about retirees before Election Day.
That takes time and it takes money. That’s why I’m coming to you now and asking for your support.
Speaker Johnson isn’t bluffing. He has a record of supporting $2 trillion in cuts to Medicare and slashing $750 billion from Social Security. That’s our money!
