Dear John,

As the year draws to a close, you can still contribute to our Cultivating Change [[link removed]] appeal and support health workers, activists and everyday people, including survivors of gender-based violence, as they build more prosperous, healthier communities and lives in 2024.

You may have read my previous emails, detailing our work with communities and tea growers in Rwanda to help people who have experienced, or are at risk of experiencing, gender-based violence gain financial independence.

Below, you can read about some of the key highlights from this exciting and innovative project.

Please donate today and help survivors of gender-based violence build healthier, more prosperous communities! [[link removed]] Alongside our partners in Rwanda, we are supporting over 3000 survivors of gender-based violence, over 90% of whom are women, to empower themselves economically. Most of these people are undertaking training around work-readiness, financial literacy and specialist tea-harvesting.We are helping them secure employment within tea estates, so they can earn a living wage, gain financial independence, support themselves and their families. In addition to the direct participants, a further 9,000 people are estimated to benefit indirectly from this project through improved living conditions. £22 could pay for one person’s protective equipment for tea plucking [[link removed]]

Your contributions enable us to continue working with communities globally to improve health, challenge injustice and address the root causes of poverty.

Please give whether you can today and help build a healthier, more prosperous world for all in 2024.

Wishing you a happy and prosperous new year in advance,

Siaffa Bunduka,

Supporter Engagement Manager
