It’s easy to look away from humanitarian crises during the holidays. So on behalf of everyone at USA for UNFPA, we want to thank you for staying engaged with our work delivering lifesaving care and aid to the women and girls who need it most around the world.
LIke in Gaza, where conditions are being described as hell on earth. Nowhere is safe in Gaza. It is becoming impossible to get significant aid into Gaza and reach its suffering people. The humanitarian system is collapsing.
90% of the population regularly go without food for a whole day. We’re especially concerned about the increased nutritional vulnerability among children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, and the elderly.
Northern Gaza is now without a functional hospital due to the lack of fuel, staff, and supplies. 42 babies have been born within a school functioning as a shelter instead of in health facilities.
UNFPA has been instrumental in getting aid into Gaza — but so far, these deliveries are only a drop in the ocean compared to the vast scale of needs. That’s why we’re appealing for your support today.
Will you make a tax-deductible end-of-year gift that delivers lifesaving care and basic essentials to women and girls in crisis zones across the globe? We need to receive your gift before our Year-End Deadline at 11:59pm on December 31.
UNFPA deeply regrets the end of the humanitarian pause in Gaza. We condemn the violence in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank, including all sexual violence against women, and echo the UN Secretary-General’s call for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire and for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas.
Thank you for not looking away.
