We are living in a time when organized and well-funded forces exploit every possible avenue of fear to divide our families and communities. Bans of books, flags, inclusive school resources and classes; bans of celebrations of the rainbow of experiences, cultures, genders that enrich our lives, and threats to families and providers who affirm transgender youth are rampant. To tell the truth, it’s hard out there — but what I saw at the PFLAG National Convention was a force of unbounded strength and love. |

Being in a large group of PFLAG folks felt so powerful, like the movement was powerful. It gave me more hope than I have had. I learned from so many people from across the nation and other parts of the world who were part of PFLAG, leading with love and making a difference. It strengthened my commitment to the cause and made me feel more hope. |
