Our Fight for Missouri

Friends,

The world is moving quickly, and so are we. Our campaign has taken a lead on a lot of what’s happening in our state right now. Here’s what we’re doing:

Keeping Government Accountable

Missouri’s state legislature is moving to quickly pass House Bill 2725 to close some legislative meetings to the public during health emergencies. Just last week, this bill was terrible. It would have demolished Missouri’s Sunshine Law, essentially blocking public access to public records for all but the wealthy.

I advocated hard for Missourians. I worked with Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, and representatives from the press to push for essential changes to the bill. All of my recommendations were accepted.

I am still advocating for our state to protect our right to vote by implementing no-excuse absentee and mail-in voting, increase access to affordable care, and provide emergency economic relief. Other candidates are following our lead.

I won’t stop working for you.

Helping Others

We're organizing volunteer activities during the Coronavirus outbreak, including helping groups like yours still meet virtually. Please contact me if you’d like help or want to help others. I’m at [email protected] or, if you prefer, text me directly at 314-753-9033.

We need help making calls too! Email Daniel at [email protected] or call/text him at 314-252-8394.

PSAs

We have already launched our first PSAs to educate the public about what we can do during the Coronavirus, and we have more on the way! You can help us get the word out by donating.

Online Events

We were the first campaign in Missouri to shift to online events. We launched with a town hall that was available on Facebook and Instagram. I took questions live. We had over 1,700 views of the event!

We will be doing multiple internet and telephone events over the next few weeks, including launching a weekly show, and we’re helping other campaigns go virtual too. If you have a topic or would like to be a guest, please let me know at [email protected].

These times are difficult, and I am so proud of our team for stepping up, helping others, and demonstrating the leadership we need in Missouri. This campaign has always been designed to adapt, and we are prepared to continue this important work no matter the challenges we face. That’s because this campaign has always been - above all else - about building and serving our community.

Thank you for being with us, and please let me know how we can help you.

Yours,
Elad
