John,
As the end of 2023 approaches, we have the opportunity to reflect on our efforts and renew our commitment to creating a stronger community. Although we have faced some challenges in Rhode Island, throughout our nation, and around the globe, I remain optimistic for our future.
Since the election, my team and I are up and running to serve all Rhode Islanders in Washington. I am hopeful we can build on the progress that we have made.
By working together, we can expand on the resilient economy President Biden and Congressional Democrats delivered. This work is helping Rhode Islanders see lower prescription drug costs, investing in our public infrastructure, putting almost 35,000 people to work in good-paying jobs across our state, and spur critical investments in the supply chains of the future that accelerate our transition to a greener, renewable energy economy.
We have a big year ahead. Together, we can lower costs for families, fortify democracy from attacks at home and abroad, protect and expand Social Security and Medicare benefits, and keep our communities safe from gun violence. And I need your help as we approach the final year end deadline.
