Dear Friend,

As COVID-19 precautions and responses develop around the globe, Waterkeeper Alliance has closed its New York office and is canceling all in-person meetings through March 31, with potential closures beyond that point. Our staff is working remotely to support the Waterkeeper movement as they cancel spring cleanups, fundraisers, lobbying days, and watershed patrols.

Our 350 Waterkeeper groups are part of the essential fabric of their communities, protecting watersheds from the Himalayas to San Francisco Bay. The work they do is critical: prior to this pandemic, half the world’s hospital beds were filled with people suffering from water-borne diseases. Waterkeeper Alliance is committed to supporting our Waterkeepers and their efforts to protect clean water and healthy communities.

There are multiple ways you can support Waterkeeper Alliance right now, and we want to help you figure out the way that works best for you.
1. Give a cash gift ([link removed]) : Your gift will get put to immediate use protecting everyone’s right to clean water.
2. Amazon Smile ([link removed]) : If you’re shopping from home this week, please consider adding Waterkeeper Alliance as an Amazon Smile partner. It costs nothing to you and is an ongoing help to us!
3. Start a Facebook Fundraiser ([link removed]) : Ask your friends to join you in supporting clean water! Whether they donate $5 or $500, every contribution makes an impact.
4. Join the many people ([link removed]) who have included us in their legal will. We know how important it is to protect the people and causes you care about most in these uncertain times. You can support Waterkeeper Alliance’s fight for drinkable, fishable, swimmable water without paying a cent today using our free will-writing tool ([link removed]) .

Thank you for doing what you can,

Marc Yaggi
Executive Director
