Terror from the ground: On October 7, more than 1,200 Israeli men, women and children were systematically murdered in ISIS-style raids across Israeli communities. More than 5,000 were injured, and more than 240 civilians and soldiers were taken hostage into Gaza.
Terror from the air: More than 11,500 rockets and missiles have been launched at Israel since the attacks on October 7. Most rockets were fired from populated areas in Gaza toward populated areas in Israel, including more than 115 rockets fired from humanitarian safe zones.
Terror below ground: Hamas spent years building a labyrinth of tunnels under Gaza, many with entrances connected to hospitals, schools, mosques and residential buildings. It uses these tunnels, deliberately built beneath civilian infrastructure, to store weapons and rockets, and as hiding places for terrorists to hide launch attacks.
