Hi John,

Today we're in court to save the Arctic.

Our appeal to block the Willow project was expedited and will run into the new year. We won't give up working to save the irreplaceable landscapes and wildlife of the Far North.

A gift to the Saving Life on Earth Fund will help us keep fighting to protect the Arctic and its wildlife. All gifts will be matched dollar for dollar, but only through Dec. 31.

Species in the Western Arctic — the largest, most intact stretch of wilderness in the United States — have never encountered a monster like Willow.

And now they're under threat because officials refuse to act on what this moment calls for: ending the fossil fuel era.

We went to court the day after Willow got the greenlight. And we're determined to stop it for good.

Willow would mean drilling up to 199 oil wells. It would mean building hundreds of miles of ice roads and pipelines, along with gravel roads, an airstrip and a gravel mine.

We're giving our all in court to stop Big Oil from pushing wildlife to extinction.

This disastrous project would have a devastating impact.

Polar bears, already facing starvation, will struggle even more to find the food they need. Cubs could be abandoned if their mothers are scared off by the shock of industrial development.

Caribou, seals, migratory birds and other species will also be harmed.

So much is riding on this moment.

The Center was founded to save vulnerable species and the natural landscapes and biodiversity we all love.

Our battles to protect the wild are long and ongoing, and we need you with us.

Please stand with us by making a matched gift to the Saving Life on Earth Fund.
