I’m doing everything I can to keep our communities safe in Wisconsin and across the country during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

If we’re serious about combating this public health emergency, then we must provide free testing for everyone who needs one, including the uninsured. And we must provide emergency paid sick leave to folks who are being forced to make a choice between keeping their job OR protecting their health.

Too many folks are being forced to choose between putting food on the table, paying rent, and staying home with a young child. That’s an untenable position, which is why I introduced a bill in the Senate to help.

The Families First Act would provide FREE coronavirus testing for everyone, emergency paid sick leave, expanded unemployment benefits, and additional funding to support Americans impacted by this outbreak.

So, where is Mitch McConnell? He decided to take the weekend off and now he’s abdicating his responsibility as Senate Majority Leader to schedule a vote on this bill.
